1.      PREAMBLE:
Kibaha Secondary School is a government owned school, under the management of Kibaha Education Centre.

The school was founded in 1965 by a joint sponsorship of five countries.  The then Tanganyika Government on one hand and four Nordic Countries namely: Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

It started with 110 form one and 60 form five students.  The school is an entirely boarding and Boys’ school.

2.      SCHOOL HEADMASTERS:
The school has since 1965 been under the leadership of the following heads of school as shown in table 1.

5.      STUDENTS’ GOVERNMENT:
Students have a government that manages students’ affairs and plays an interlink between students and teachers.  The government plays a big role of bridging a gap between students and Teachers. More important it assists teachers to supervise activities such as cleanliness and morning assembly.   Leaders who form the current students’ government are listed in table 6.

7.       STUDENTS DISCIPLINE
During the period, there were several indiscipline cases that were frequently committed by the students.  They included:-
-          Late coming to the classrooms
-          Truancy
-          Improper wearing of uniforms
 About 2% of the students committed these mistakes on daily basis.  The school management and teachers administered corporal and physical punishments against these students resulting to declining trend in misbehavior. There were also cases of some students committing serious offenses and given punishment accordingly.

8.      ACADEMICS:

8.1 CLASSROOM TEACHING

Teaching and learning activities were conducted as scheduled. Random observation showed 90% of teachers attended classes as required. A few of them i.e 10% missed some periods.
                 
     

8.2: EXAMINATIONS
During the period the following exams were done;
·         Form Two Mock Exam
·         Mid Term Exams
·         Form Four Pre-National exams



8.3: STUDENTS PREPARATIONS FOR EXAMINATIONS
Students are organized in groups to prepare for National examinations as seen in the picture below;
                 





  8.5 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE IN NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS
The school’s performance in national examinations for the past ten years has been impressive as shown in table 9 and10

9.      PARENTS’  MEETING
The school management involves students’ parents in making important decisions for the development of the school.  On 20th September 2014, the school management organized  a parents’ day. The event was aimed at:-
·         Creating awareness among parents on various issues of the school.
·         Involving parents on devising ways of addressing various challenges facing the school.
·         Forming a parents’ committee that will be working on behalf of other parents to assist the school management to solve various challenges facing the school.

Resolutions made during the parents’ day are as summarized in table 8.

·         Parents agreed to contribute money for renovation of school infrastructures , purchase of students furniture and motivation  to teachers,
·         Parents endorsed a proposal to introduce  ‘’shamba dress’’ for students,
·         Parents must ensure that they fulfill their obligations to pay school fees,
·         Students should not be allowed to possess mobile phones.
·         Each student should be coming with his own mattress.

          

10.  EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES  
Students are engaged in extracurricular activities like cleanliness, debates, sports and games.
